You can never have too many sound design tools, whether rounding up a scene or layering and creating the perfect effect. This library contains over 250 files of hand tools such as hammers, ratchets and screwdrivers, as well as hand movements such as chopping wood and breaking rocks. Nearly 3 GB of sounds will add extra hum, boom or crackle to give any sound that missing edge. You can be sure that you will always have the sharpest tool in the shed.
WHAT WE RECORDED
We emptied our TOOL BOX to find everything we could write down: hammers, axes, saws, belts, car jacks and more. Using an XY-Setup of two Sennheiser MKH 8040s and an MS-Setup with a Sennheiser MKH8050 and MKH30, we captured every rumble and bump we could make, keeping the record as dry as possible.
