Soul Spectrums brings together the soulful and the digital in perfect harmony. It draws on the ghostly, nostalgic influences of dark R&B and soul—evoking artists like Kaytranada, Shigeto, and Toro Y Moi—while infusing a forward-thinking, electronic ambient sensibility.
The pack was developed, produced, and recorded using high-end preamps and converters to capture source sounds from a Yamaha upright piano, DSI Prophet and Roland Juno synthesizers, and more unconventional techniques—such as re-sampling audio through a dusty, vintage 90s cassette tape—to perfectly embody the nostalgic essence of this style.
You’ll find plenty of inspiration here, ranging from beautiful piano chord progressions and deeply swinging drum and percussion loops to lush synth leads and ethereal FX.
