OPAL is a collection of sonic gems unearthed from a vast treasure trove of sounds. Jamie Lidell coaxed these precious signals out using an intoxicating blend of analog and digital gear—both for transmission and processing—at his West Air studio. The sonic character of OPAL is more heady and potent than one might expect from a Grammy-nominated artist and producer. Lidell is well-known for his vocals, having released seven solo albums and collaborated with artists such as Mura Masa and A-Trak.
