Description:
The piercing, searing crunch tones produced by the MRSH JC800 amplifier, with its cascaded gain stages and master volume, defined the sound of rock for a generation.
Perhaps the most iconic sound of any MRSH amplifier ever released, and an amp our customers have consistently requested.
We’re thrilled to have found a particularly great-sounding example. It’s been played a lot, it’s been loved, and it’s seen a lot… Because there’s some red substance of unknown origin on the right side of the amp, we’ve nicknamed it “Bloody Mary.” This model has been used by virtually every rock and hard rock band throughout its career, but we especially remember Guns N Roses and Rage Against the Machine, whose demos you can also listen to in the product photo section.
This amp falls into the crunch and distortion category and sounds best in that range. It’s definitely best suited for humbucking guitars, but there are plenty of good settings for single-coil pickups as well.
