Description : Fields of Rock SDX includes seven drum kits and an extensive collection of percussion instruments recorded by multi-award winning engineer, producer and mixer Tom Dalgety (Ghost, Rammstein, Pixies, Royal Blood) and drummer Matt Hector (Iggy Pop, Gutterdämmerung). Recording took place at Rockfield, a Welsh dairy farm converted into a studio that would eventually leave a colossal mark on its fifty-year journey into musical history. This studio, to which bands like Queen, Rush, Judas Priest, Hawkwind and many of their contemporaries made pilgrimage in the 1970s, became a creative haven where some of the best rock songs of our time materialized. But even after the heyday of classic rock, Rockfield remains a staple in the recording world, attracting top performers from all genres such as Oasis, Coldplay and Manic Street Preachers, to name but a few.

This library is designed to capture the essence of genre-defining rock albums, recorded in different rooms of the studio, while adding modern technology, forward-thinking ideas and ingenuity that will make your products tomorrow. In addition to using all the great vintage mics and external gear available at Rockfield, the library was recorded through 14 channels of hardware tape emulation, recreating the unmistakable, warm and rich sound of tape.

    When I install the library it says that “the library needs to be updated”. How do I update a library?
