Salva’s debut pack on Splice accompanies his “open-source” project. The Clips collection draws inspiration from a wide array of audio and video sources, spanning over 40 minutes of diverse musical styles—from UK Grime and Southern-style trap to the beats of California, New York, Miami, and Chicago—all anchored by the foundational 808 kick drum.
This collection features a curated selection of drums, percussion, and FX. The Clips concept represents a forward-thinking approach, promoting an “open-source” model for music. It encourages collaboration and content sharing, offering an alternative to the illicit sampling of tracks—a practice that often forces underground music into obscurity or prevents it from ever being discovered in the first place.
