Description: KeyTone is a two-voice Rompler. Our starting point was that the world didn’t need another multi-gigabyte multi-sampled piano rompler, nor did it need additional Rhodes or Whirlitzer instruments. These bases are largely staffed. Instead, we wanted to create a fast and easy to use rompler that allows you to define your own unique piano/key sounds.
There are over 200 instruments selected and included in KeyTone that have been meticulously recorded, edited and processed using our tube-based analog system, including passing each sound through our custom 1970s Akai tube preamp and then running it through a Revox B77 tape recorder. with vintage (but pristine) British Zonal 675 tape. It’s a long, slow process, but we think the resulting sounds are worth it.
Setting up and using new sounds in KeyTone couldn’t be easier – we’ve spent a lot of time refining our voice randomization engine to the point where new and interesting sounds are just a click away. We’ve added a brand new ‘Overview’ tab to quickly and easily access the most important controls, but we’ve kept all controls in KeyTone with ‘classic’ synthesis controls like envelopes and filters to shape today’s innovative and original sounds. quickly and efficiently. In addition to these controls, we have provided over 200 snapshots full of instrument sounds, as well as over 100 voice presets, 30 gate presets, and 50 ARP presets. Also included is our innovative ARP/seq page and multi-mode gate system, as well as the usual 4-slot send and 4-slot insert effects.
