Description:
The Tilt EQ can be a bit confusing for some, so keep in mind that turning the knob all the way to the left (lower-numbered entries) will boost highs and cut lows. Turn it all the way to the right (higher-numbered entries) and you’ll do the opposite—more lows, less highs.
It’s also worth noting that all our entries feature gain compensation to help you make decisions based on tone and timbre, not volume. Since boosts are primarily designed to increase volume, they may seem a bit underwhelming at first—the various settings are much more subtle than their overdrive/distortion/fuzz counterparts. The secret here is to use the volume control in the Tonex software to increase volume. Once you do this, your amp will work as intended, and, importantly, the pedals you connect your amp to will respond as expected. Trust us, it’ll make you smile! The right pedal combination is where the magic happens.
Here’s what Revv says about the Tilt: “The Shawn Tubbs Tilt overdrive is the culmination of Shawn Tubbs’s lifelong passion for music. Shawn wanted more than just a practical tool to quickly achieve the right tone in any musical context—he sought to combine the best vintage amp tones and recorded guitar sounds of all time into one perfect sound.”
Designed as the foundation of your guitar tone for use anywhere, and as a useful tool for upgrading your existing rig, Tilt Overdrive adds a whole new, record-ready tone to your palette, expanding your recording and performance capabilities while embodying Sean’s 30+ years of professional guitar experience combined with some of the finest recorded guitar sounds in history. Not only was it developed by a top-notch session musician who always seeks perfect tone, but it’s also designed to bring out the best in every player who plugs into the amp. It seamlessly integrates into your rig, delivering Sean’s signature clean, balanced overdriven sounds.
