Studio Sopranos also uses the beautiful polyphonic phrase legato from our latest choirs, offering incredibly realistic legato phrasing as each syllable is played, allowing you to seamlessly switch between phrases mid-sentence. Eschewing the traditional technique of sampling fragmented word-formers, polyphonic phrase legato allows you to write freely while retaining the true expressiveness of a live choir.
Studio Sopranos’ dynamic arcs provide an endless supply of inspiring pads and editing tools. There are 9 different arc variations available, which can be used either on their own or as auxiliary voices for the Multi Vowels and True Legato patches. Arcs are the natural musical expressions created by singers working across different dynamic ranges; they are the opposite of static sustain, as they bring true emotion and realism to your music.
True Legato
Studio Sopranos features a superb collection of deeply sampled true legatos. The velocity control allows you to radically change the timbre of your voice during these transitions. True Legatos are designed to work perfectly with polyphonic phrase legatos, giving you maximum flexibility and control!
Studio Sopranos Arcs not only contain true legato and polyphonic phrase legato, but also a huge selection of truly emotional arcs. Arcs contain long and short variations, as well as 2 additional softer arcs for more intimate composition. These natural dynamic effects provide a truly realistic performance.
Division Mics
Each mic mix features 3 singers in the soprano section. Using just one of these mics gives you an incredibly detailed 3-person choir that you can individually process and move around the room. Using all 3 mics gives you control over the overall depth, size and character of your soprano section.
