Description : Synchrony Performance Encoder is a musical performance analysis tool that accelerates tempo determination using a new score-based approach. Simply import a score from notation software and record your performance in Synchrony using the recording function. Synchrony’s advanced MIDI alignment algorithms instantly match these scores, which are then used to generate a tempo that can be transferred to a DAW. In addition to tempo, it can also decode dynamic characteristics and expression, allowing you to match velocity and CC from one performance to another.

Problems
1. When importing MIDI for performance, match accuracy is lost, even if the performance MIDI has the same number of notes as the score. This bug exists in standalone and VST3 (all DAWs except Reaper).
Solutions
1. The accuracy of finding matches can be increased by using the recording for performance, or by using the plugin in Reaper; in other DAWs, when importing MIDI, the accuracy will be much lower.
Updates
If an update has been released but you don’t want to wait for the distribution to update, you can update manually:
- Download the updated version installer from the developer’s website and unpack it using innoExtractor .

Find the required format in the unpacked folder: clap/vst3/exe, and rename it to: app.bin

Copy and replace to:
path for CLAP : %Program Files%\Common Files\CLAP\Synchrony
path for VST3 : %Program Files%\Common Files\VST3\Synchrony.vst3\Contents\x86_64-win
path for EXE : %Program Files%\Symbolic Music\Synchrony
- Launch. If the developer didn’t bother with license protection/verification, then it’ll work. If not, wait for the distribution to be updated.
