Description:
A three-band inductor-based equalizer featuring tone and transformer saturation controls.
Model 51 EQ is a distinctive three-band inductor equalizer designed for bold, musical sound shaping without sacrificing detail. Its fixed frequency bands and meticulously modeled frequency response make it fast to use: add weight, bring a source to the forefront, tame harshness, or open up the high end using broad, natural curves that are mix-ready right away.
Overview:
It is designed to fit seamlessly into tracks, buses, stems, and the mix bus: broad enough for quick tonal adjustments, yet offering enough control for more targeted corrective work when needed.
The plugin features a clean EQ path for predictable curves, as well as an analog mode where the EQ responds more like a driven circuit.
Controls for input level, band gain, analog drive, amp stage, timbre, and transformer allow you to adjust the EQ’s sound—ranging from pristine and high-fidelity to punchy, dense, and responsive when pushed hard.
Key features:
* Five-band EQ: Body, Weight, Presence, Focus, and Air.
* Clean and Analog EQ modes.
* Analog control mode that tracks input level and band gain settings.
* Extended Drive option for a tighter op-amp response characteristic (at the cost of higher CPU usage).
* Amp stage for detailed shaping of the signal path.
* Phase inversion and coloration stages for added analog character.
* HQ/Auto oversampling modes for cleaner high-frequency response when using analog stages.
* Stereo, Dual Mono, and Mid/Side modes for visualization and editing.
* Dedicated mono processing mode to reduce CPU load.
* Input and output level controls with gain compensation.
* Temporary trim linking via Shift-drag.
* Delta Listen function to monitor only the processed difference. * Built-in FFT analyzer with selectable speed, block size, and smoothing.
* Graph scale options: +/-12 dB, +/-6 dB, and +/-3 dB.
* Right-click on an empty area of the graph to quickly change the graph scale.
* Right-click on graph nodes to access band menu options.
* Switchable shelf and peak filter shapes for low and high frequency bands.
* Q control via mouse wheel on supported graph nodes.
* Momentary solo mode by holding the Shift key while hovering over graph nodes.
* A/B comparison with A>B copy function.
* Compact view.
* Includes 85 factory presets.
* User manual available in the plugin menu and the DMG installer.
The plugin can be quite CPU-intensive when all analog stages and high-quality modes are enabled; therefore, most resource-heavy modeling features can be activated only when needed.
