A shot in the dark here; it seems “House style” is the most organic in terms of instruments and FX…. as compared to Electro, Techno, etc. Is this at all accurate? I’m so old, I remember when the cassette tape was a huge leap in technology.
Anyway, there must be a hundred styles in the industry. It’s somewhat similar to Latin music, except styles can be greatly defined by regions and cultures specific to them. Just because it’s Latin doesn’t mean people of Central America are into salsa or merengue……. cumbia is dominant but there’s several variations on that.
It’d be cool to have a small forum of sorts here. And as always thanks for the educational value of this site.
