Description:
The Supro Supreme 1600R will transform any guitar into a rock monster, including Stratocaster and Telecaster. One of Supro’s most famous sounds is that of Jimmy Page on his Coronado, who, to the surprise of many, used a Telecaster instead of a Les Paul to achieve an incredibly powerful tone.
Supro amps typically handle crunch well, but this one truly excels in this gain range, delivering a beautifully balanced tone between brightness, low-end punch, punch, and just the right amount of edge, without blurring, distortion, or harshness.
It’s a worthy alternative to mainstream models like Marshalls for everyday rock tones, and it definitely has a good chance of becoming your main amp for such purposes.
When played very clean, it can sound a bit bright and/or thin, but when the guitar volume is turned down, it produces a superb clean tone.
