Description:
This extremely rare 1963 Fender Vibroverb (6G16) amplifier with a brown panel is prized by collectors and players for its rarity and tone.
What sets this amp apart is its incredibly balanced tone from high to low frequencies, a lack of clipping, and ample lows, mids, and highs to produce a beautiful clean sound and the stunning, smooth, creamy overdriven tones for which brown panel amps are known.
It sits between the Tweed and Black Panel eras and is very close in circuit design to the Black Panel Vibroverb. Despite some important component differences, it still sounds and responds similarly to other Brown Panel amps.
Our example only has electrolytic capacitors replaced, as befits an amp of this age; The transformers and all other components are original.
