The VertiVerb VRS23 is a precise emulation of the Dynacord® VRS 23 (Vertical Reverb System), a BBD echo and reverb unit from the early 1980s.
Overview:
This unit uses 10 BBD chips combined into a complex cascade matrix to create echo and reverb. As the manufacturer claimed, back in the 1980s, the VRS23 used a “new” reverb structure that avoided the “basement” effect typical of earlier reverb units. This resulted in a unique combination of delay and reverb, making the VRS23 a truly unique device.
We’ve gone further and added new features, such as FBK and CLK (clock frequency) controls, which allow you to fine-tune the amount of feedback and the BBD clock frequency.
