Description:
Echoes of the Past
Stardust 201 Tape Echo is an advanced interpretation of the classic tape echo effects of the 70s and 80s. Compared to earlier tape echoes, they represented a giant leap in terms of reliability and sound quality. With their robust tape transports and the inclusion of spring reverb and chorus effects in some models, classic tape echo boxes were truly revolutionary, offering a fantastic variety of sonic nuances.

Stardust faithfully reproduces the limited precision and stability of audio tape, delivering natural low- and high-frequency decay for a super-warm tonality and subtle variations in speed, lending repeats an organic, choral quality. Cranking the intensity knob overdrives the circuit, creating the characteristic ethereal echo and feedback that only tape echo can create.

The Stardust 201 Tape Echo from Cherry Audio combines the features of the original RE-201 and RE-301, plus some of our own innovations, to create a great-sounding, ultra-flexible, and perfect tape echo that never fails or requires demagnetization. All at a price less than the cost of replacing a cassette tape!
