Publisher : Fracture Sounds
Format : Kontakt (7.0.0+)
Quality : Stereo 48 kHz 24 bit

Description : Steinway D concert grand piano
A grand piano of epic proportions. This Steinway D model was recorded in octaves in a large concert hall using multiple microphones and additional effects to enhance the sound.
Epic Grand was recorded during the same sessions as Spotlight Piano , using the same Steinway D model and an extensive array of microphones. While the Spotlight Piano features softer dynamics, the Epic Grand emphasizes the top notes, which are played in octaves. The result is a grand, epic sound reminiscent of Vangelis’ Chariots of Fire, often heard on modern blockbuster soundtracks.
The library contains near, mid and far microphone signals recorded in a large concert hall. Additional sound shaping controls provide composers with plenty of options to bring more grandeur and expressiveness to their next piece.

Interface
• Adjust the EQ to change the brightness of the overall sound
• Apply compression, EQ and saturation to add weight and energy to the sound
• Control the stereo widening effect: turn clockwise for a larger signal, counterclockwise for a mono signal
• Control the reverb level with additional settings by clicking on the gear
• Control microphones: near, middle and far. Mute the sound, play a solo, or remove the dry layer and individual atmospheric layers. Mix near and far mics
• Increase sample start time to reduce latency. Reduce sample start time for more realism. The delay above is the correct number to use a negative delay (pre-delay) in your DAW’s MIDI settings
• Adjust the instrument’s volume using your MIDI device’s attack input

Features
• Steinway D (recording in octaves)
• 3 microphone positions: near, mid and far
• Up to 5 looping algorithms
