From Author:
MuseScore is a music score editor that is powerful, open source, completely free and runs on Windows, Mac or Linux operating systems.
In this course, I’ll walk you through everything about using MuseScore in your own projects, and show you some of my own methods of working, as well as the work of other people. This is a fantastic program for learning music in any style, or just to help you learn the basics of notation.
I have been working with MuseScore for several years – with major American orchestras, film studios and video game designers – so I have more than a little experience in professional music notation. I also have a degree in music composition and am a university professor (in music composition).
I was recently named a semi-finalist for the Grammy Foundation’s Music Music Educator of the Year Award due to my in-person classes at university. Now I’m giving these lessons online on Udemy to reach more students and give them the joy of learning Music Theory.

In this course we will cover:
MuseScore History
How to get involved in the MuseScore community
Installation and setup
launch center
Creating a new score
Assigning Playback Tools
MuseScore Interface
Toolbars
Palettes
Inspector
3 note entry methods
Using a MIDI keyboard with MuseScore
Adding lyrics
Adding text
Guitar tablature
Percussion notation
Reruns and endings
Dynamics
Articulations
Playing your score backwards
batch production

And many many others.
You won’t have another opportunity to learn MuseScore in a more comprehensive way than here.
