Description : AURAS is an exploration of the realm of musical sound that is formless or indefinable in nature. These sound sculptures can be formed and controlled using MIDI keyboards and controllers, including MPE (Midi Polyphonic Expression) technology such as the ROLI Seaboard or Haken Continuum, which have the ability to shape sound per note as you play.
Along with exploring the world of AURAS patch sounds, you can create and customize new soundscapes using the COLORS environment. Easily assign sound shaping parameters to any MIDI sliders, knobs, or controllers to quickly and easily create completely unique textures.

The sound world of AURAS focuses primarily on abstract and impressionistic textures and rhythms. He is influenced by the styles of composers and performers that blur the lines between sound design, orchestration and music. John Luther Adams, Ben Frost, Ingram Marshall, Tim Hecker, Ian William Craig, Mashinedrum, and William Basinski were reference points for a library that explores the manipulation of sound as if it were an energy field or aura of sound texture that is constantly shifting in shape and color .

Deeply programmed MIDI control allows this concept to be used intuitively and expressively. Unlike how a regular sample library gives a well-defined and static snapshot of a sound, AURAS allows you to reproduce the look and shape of each sound in a dynamic and unique way.

A wide variety of sounds were recorded as sound design material, with an emphasis on performance and motion capture rather than a large variety of sampled notes. Strings, synths, brass, field recordings, percussion and more were used as source material, which was processed using a range of techniques and effects to create a soundscape that ranges from bland and brittle to complete chaos.
