Avoiding Distorted Drum Patterns:
The analog clipper located at the end of the signal chain plays a key role in creating the energetic Tekno sound. However, you will need to adjust this effect based on the intensity of your drum loop. For dense patterns, you should lower the “Clip” slider (located in the Master section) to avoid distortion. Individual drum hits, on the other hand, generally benefit from more aggressive clipping.
There is no right or wrong answer here, as Tekno is designed to never produce digital clipping within your DAW. Therefore, listen and adjust the clipping slider—as well as the built-in limiter—to find the right “temperature” that suits your track and your creative vision.
