Description : Discord4 is the latest version of our most popular and long-lived product, our Discord stereo pitch selector. Originally modeled with the H910, Discord has long been its own effect and studio reserve, and this version includes significant additions to further expand its capabilities.
The pitch shift consists of three separate algorithms: the “vintage” mode (the original Discord algorithm modeled on the Eventide H910 and H949), the “pure” mode for more modern bias sounds and the “granular” mode for experimental effects. Each mode has its own strengths , depending on the input material, and Discord3 as a result has a wide palette of possibilities. Algorithms P1 and P2 have full control over the size of the buffer (window) of the shift effect, for fine-tuning the shift to the input signal or for extraneous sound effects. Within the extreme range of a six-octave shift range, some really strange aliases and artifacts can be obtained with this control.
Discord4 saves its own pair of tempo-synchronized delays and bandpass filters from previous versions and adds reverb in the feedback loop (for quick access to flicker effects). We also replaced the modulation sources from the original with our brand new FLFO (Flexible LFO) design. Panoramic controls are included to control the stereo width of the wet signal. Finally, soft saturation and limitation were added or improved along the entire signal path to overall improve the sound and added warmth of the vintage style, as well as to conduct extreme feedback experiments without fear of overloading the DAW channel.

v4.0.9
– Rebuilt with all current SDKs and APIs (mainly to deal with Notarization on macOS and the somewhat fluid nature of the current VST3 situation.) Stability improvements and overall embettering.
– 32-bit version removed from macOS to maintain compatibility with current macOS SDKs. macOS version is now 64-bit only; Windows version currently remains available as 32-bit, but you should prepare for the inevitable.
