Wood is an organic material found in plants and used for many purposes, such as creating musical instruments. Many wooden instruments are idiophones, instruments in which the vibration of the material itself is the primary source of sound. Following this concept, Wood is a sample library created by sampling hits, collisions, and effects with wooden instruments (sticks, keys, boards, drums, castanets, balls, and so on). The samples are then processed into various instruments, ranging from tuned/untuned percussion, drum kits, hits/noises, to sound textures and sound effects. Wood features 17 instruments and 4 multis using 278 stereo samples with many velocity layers and collective writing. Four standard effects are available from the custom performance view: Saturation, Rotator, Delay, and Reverb.
