This rare and beautiful keyboard instrument held a special place among composers of the Renaissance and Baroque periods, and was also a popular practice instrument for organists. The guys at Wavelore have strived to accurately reproduce its full palette of tones.
The synthesizer has six layers, each of which is played at a specific playing force. The instrument features 8-voice polyphony. The developer notes that the microphones were positioned fairly close to the instrument during recording, capturing all its characteristic sounds and virtually eliminating room acoustic feedback.
