Cassette Keys.01
This is a unique mixture of physical modeling and FM synthesis, recorded on cassette by an old and wobbly cassette recorder. It has a C0 to E6 range and 4 carefully crafted speed layers. The GUI is very simple but useful and almost synthesizer-like, making it very easy and fun to work with. For example, it has an editable “sample start” parameter (controlled via GUI or modulation wheel), so you can easily get rid of initial transients when developing your sound. Cassette Mallets.01
Cassette Mallets.01 is a collection of 3 bells/hammers recorded on cassette with an old and wobbly tape recorder. Each instrument in this library is a blend of physics modeling and FM synthesis with a range from E2 to E6 and 3 velocity layers that have been designed from the ground up for a good playing range.
Cassette Piano.02
One of the major improvements to Cassette Piano.02 is a brand new set of (not so perfect) old piano samples recorded in a ballet hall (both in stereo and mono, with mics in the back of the piano) that result in a surprisingly organic and delicious sound with all sorts of minor imperfections. To make the best use of these recordings and further expand the sonic possibilities of the instrument, four different decks were used to process the samples.)
