Description : Plugin Thenatan Underwater will make the tracks sound just like Drake. A chain of processing with a sinking Drake to give the signal a muddy “underwater” effect.
A developer with the nickname Thenatan has released a plug-in that gives the signal the sound of Drake. Thenatan Underwater uses a chain of effects and processing to emulate Drake’s signature sound, created by producer Noah Shebib, aka “40”.
The multi-effect changes the sound of the incoming signal and the entire project in such a way that the sound acquires a pronounced muddy and “underwater” sound. For understanding: you can appreciate the sound created by Noah “40” Shebib on any Drake track – the producer worked on all the albums of the Canadian musician.
To simulate the sound, the plugin uses several sequential processing. A low-frequency filter is applied to the signal, cutting off everything up to 80 Hz, a general softening filter, a signal degrading bitcrusher and a saturator with a special algorithm. To control the final volume of the signal, a separate master controller is provided.
Changes to settings are visualized in the plugin’s interface through Drake’s changing face and hairstyle. Depending on the settings and intensity of the effect, the hair and eyes of the drawn hero change color.
The developer notes that the plug-in is useful not only for imitating the sound of Drake, but also for creative processing of any music. The instrument will be a great addition to the collection of plug-ins for distorting and aging the signal, as well as giving it a characteristic lo-fi sound.
