Adaptive Background Attenuation (ABA)
Speech intelligibility in film and television has long been a topic of debate. With Nuendo 14, you can easily automate your mix balance to ensure dialogue is always intelligible. Using the core dialogue as a guide, ABA automatically attenuates loud background sounds by a selected decibel value, ensuring foreground audio is clearly audible. After applying this process, you’ll still have full control over the overall mix, able to preview changes and adjust levels as needed.
Dialogue Transcription
The new AI-powered speech-to-text feature in Nuendo 14 allows you to transcribe dialogue tracks using ADR cycle markers. Using a machine learning model for speech recognition and transcription, you can save hours of work by recording the original soundtrack transcription to existing markers or creating new markers with transcribed dialogue, for example, for a dubbing project.
Game Audio Connect 3
Sound designers can now preview sound effects directly in Audiokinetic Wwise, without having to first export audio files from Nuendo. When launching a segment from within the game, the audio plays back in Nuendo, allowing you to make changes before rendering assets and transferring them to Wwise. You can also try out different sounds while playing by simply changing the event selection in Nuendo.
