Description:
The Lexicon PSP42 is a high-quality digital stereo sampler module for delays and phrases, based on the legendary Lexicon PCM42 processor, renowned for its unique design and distinctive sound.

Overview:
Add the legendary sound of the Lexicon PCM 42 Digital Delay to your DAW and enjoy one of the most iconic delay processors. This second version of the Lexicon PSP42’s original design has been refined in both sonic accuracy and feature flexibility. In addition to the powerful tape saturation algorithm and variable-sample-rate delay line emulation that made the original PCM42 so unique, this second version adds even more accurate hardware audio path modeling, allowing the user to quickly decide how much of the original sound character to preserve. In addition to the legacy processing mode of the previous version, the Lexicon PSP42 now offers three alternative modes:
Clean: Pristine signal path without emulations
Lims: Includes two optical limiters from the original hardware, one at the input and one immediately before the A/D – the first affects dry and wet signals, the second affects wet signals and feedback signals. Full: Includes emulation of not only the limiters, but also the original A/D converters in the PCM 42 hardware, whose non-linear behavior added a unique sonic twist.

Features:
High-quality signal processing algorithms
Delay times up to 28,800 ms (depending on the internal sampling rate)
Continuous delay time control
Precise tempo synchronization with the host device
Tape saturation emulation based on the algorithm used in PSP mastering processors
Analog limiter emulation
ADC and DAC converter emulation
Four user-defined limiter/saturation modes
Low-pass filter for simulating high-frequency absorption with adjustable cutoff frequency
Modulation section with three different modulation sources (sine, square, envelope detector), mixed in any proportion
LFO can operate in free-running (Hz) and tempo-synced (rhythm/bar) modes
Four record/playback direction modes
Sidechain for envelope detector
Phrase sampling capability
On-the-fly parameter filtering and transitions for smooth, seamless operation mouse clicks
Support for sampling rates up to 384 kHz
Extensive preset library
