Native Instruments has released ACTION STRIKES, an intuitive orchestral percussion instrument for creating cinematic rhythms using 12 unique ensembles, 65 individual instruments, and 12 single-hit kits—all with real-time control.
This Kontakt instrument was created in collaboration with Dynamedion, known in particular for its work on ACTION STRINGS.
ACTION STRIKES features an advanced interface specifically designed for creating orchestral pieces for film, television, and computer games. Its 12 carefully selected ensembles provide a signature sound suitable for a variety of film genres. The upper, middle, and lower sections of different ensembles can be mixed and matched, resulting in over 1,700 timbral variations.
The developers of ACTION STRIKES focused on ease of use and an efficient workflow. Accents are controlled with the left hand, while the right hand selects variations. The modulation wheel adjusts the dynamics—from a soft whisper to a loud fortissimo—while the tone wheel controls the accent strength.
