Description:
Corona is a hybrid synthesizer combining virtual analog and wavetable synthesis. It features three VA/WAVE oscillators with 16 combinable modes, Super 7 and Super 7+ unison (modeled after the Roland® JP-8080), two zero-delay feedback filters, a 32-step arpeggiator, 3 LFOs, 3 ADSR envelopes, an 8-slot modulation matrix, as well as built-in distortion and chorus effects.

Sequencer Mode
Corona 7’s sequencer/arpeggiator mode transforms the volume modulation strip into a grid of 12 semitone notes featuring key transposition and three trigger modes: SEQ HOLD runs while a key is pressed; SEQ TOGGLE activates until the same key is pressed again; and SEQ SYNC holds a new key until the cycle completes, ensuring pitch changes don’t interrupt the pattern mid-bar.
Edit > Record launches a step cursor controlled by MIDI input: C4–B4 represent semitones, C3 is a syncopation, D3 is a rest, and E3 is a step back. “Generate Sequence” creates a playable bassline—using one scale per take—featuring a groove pattern, a root note on the downbeat, and a resolution at the end of the bar.
Edit > MIDI Export saves the pattern as a one-bar loop with tied notes merged into held notes, maps M1 and M2 to CC22 and CC23, and places the tempo and time signature on the master tempo track.
MIDI Learn and Mod Matrix Presets
MIDI Learn features an overlay of CC icons on every assignable control. Go to Edit > MIDI, click a control, move a knob, and you’re set. MIDI mappings are grouped by manufacturer.
The Mod Matrix offers 30 assignment presets via dropdown menus. The Arpeggiator includes a “Show/Hide” toggle and mouse-wheel support for ArpSteps.
Synth1 and JP-8000/8080 Import
Supports drag-and-drop import for Synth1 presets (.sy1) and SysEx import for Roland JP-8000 and JP-8080, allowing you to load familiar patches rather than creating them from scratch.

The three oscillators operate using operator combination modes (12 in Phase mode, 16 in Detune mode), allowing the same three sources to cover a range spanning from pure additive synthesis to

Bitwise modes
