Modern design. Analog heart.
An evolution of a classic, Oak combines the best of analog compression and saturation with intuitive controls that deliver instant results. Shape transients, increase weight, or add air—all with minimal adjustments.
Features:
Adjustable Compression and Saturation
Oak provides two basic compression and saturation styles for quickly shaping tone.
Compression
• VCA: Clean, crisp, modern control with a fixed low but stylish ratio
• FET: Sharp, bright and bold. Full of character and brings life to any source used in
Saturation
• Xfmr: Thick, vintage, Transformer-style drive that transports you straight to Shelford
• Tape: Warm and smooth, with top-end controls for ambience and vibrant results
Precision Tone Shaping
• Punch shapes transients before compression with a finely tuned transient designer.
• Air adds a beautifully transparent and clear high shelf based on a modern 28k preamp knob.
• Enclosure controls a wide low shelf, perfect for boosting drums or balancing the low end on vocals.
• Edge adds a subtle high-frequency boost to keep your sound clean and clear.
Vintage/Modern Circuit
Switching Switch between vintage and modern circuits for a variety of sonic character.
• Vintage: Allows the use of a soft FET-like transformer to add extra magical character. Think of it as somewhere between Rev A and D.
• Modern: Cleans up the compressor to a near-digital state, but with enough power to retain its Swiss Army knife status.
Intuitive metering.
A vintage VU meter gives you real-time feedback on dynamic signal reduction. Don’t let your eyes get in the way… But checking your common sense has never looked so good.
