Description: The 1971 Estonia Grand Piano is a detailed sampled Soviet era grand piano. The Estonia Piano line is known as the secret Steinway of Eastern Europe, with its unique dark, emotional and melancholic characteristics.
The 1971 Estonia Grand Piano features Sustain, Staccato and Plucked articulations that can be easily combined with each other depending on your compositional needs. The staccato notes were recorded with 5 circular repeats per velocity layer, offering you the ability to play incredibly fast phrases with a clear attack. The library contains the latest version of Chaos FX, developed for sound design, as well as a host of new textured convolution delays, which give the instrument the ability to delay textures from other sound sources.
We recorded and processed the 1971 Estonia Grand Piano at 96 kHz in a Soviet-era prepared room, then downsampled it to 48 kHz for easy streaming. The library contains 6 different types of vintage microphones, including Neumann UM 57, Vintage Lomo, Sennheiser MKH 40, Aston Spirit, Neumann KM 184, and a mixed position created by combining all the microphones used in the recording sessions. We recorded a 100% analog signal, giving you a unique and expressive Soviet grand piano.
