Most violin libraries focus on creating sustains and short notes. However, this approach ignores an important aspect of the instrument—its rhythmicity and dynamics. To fill this gap, we developed the Rotor Solo Violin.
We invited our professional violinist, Henry Rankin, and, throwing aside all limitations, created a wide range of musical possibilities. The result is 160 rhythmic loops full of spontaneity and unique sound. These loops sync perfectly with the tempo of your project, while maintaining a human-like precision that makes them lively and realistic.

The vast majority of solo violin libraries
They exist for two purposes: sustains and short fragments. But this focus leaves an entire aspect of the instrument virtually unexplored—the violin as something moving, rhythmic, and in constant motion.
That’s precisely what the Rotor Solo Violin was created for.
We invited our in-house violinist Henry Rankin, threw out all the rules, and drew inspiration from a wide range of music, creating 160 rhythmic loops. Full of spontaneous moments and unique character. And all of them are synchronized to the tempo of your DAW project, without losing the human rhythm that makes them realistic.
We also recorded 15 short articulations and 15 virtuoso passages.
This was done to provide you with source material for melodies, textures, and transitions throughout the upper register of string instruments. The entire recording was done by the same team, with the same equipment, and in the same room as the Rotor Solo Cello, meaning they blend perfectly in the mix, creating a uniquely natural sound. This is the rhythmic solution for your orchestral high notes.
160 rhythms, performed by humans and tempo-synchronized
The heart of ROTOR. 160 original violin rhythms that can be filtered by tempo, time signature, and mood. All of them are seamlessly looped and synced to the tempo of your DAW project—but the human rhythm and character of the original performance are preserved. They never sound like a quantized loop because they were not recorded as such.

He used a selection of classic microphones and vintage outboard gear to create the perfect sound, including the superbly detailed and rich-sounding Brauner VMA tube microphone. Recording was performed through:
