unable to find STEAM folder i cant locate it… or its missing after install any fixes?

Just realised this is only the update -_-. What do I need to download to make this work?
Anyone able to install this on M1 Mac? I downloaded both the updated and the core library. I ran the updater and placed the core library STEAM folder in the proper application support folder it said to place it in, the install said it completed but I can’t see the program anywhere.
Doesn’t show up in applications as standalone, or in Ableton as plugin option. Do I need to install an older version first and then run the updater? Any help greatly appreciated.
