The Ocean Way Drums sampling sessions featured a one-of-a-kind console setup created by veteran studio designer Bill Putnam, Sr. This unit in Ocean Way’s Studio B delivers stunning sound clarity, operating at a slew rate of over 200 volts per microsecond. During its existence, Studio B has recorded such stars as Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Green Day, Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, Radiohead, as well as many other bright artists. It has one of the best live recording facilities in the world, as well as a wealth of collectible classic equipment. The sampling session also featured high-quality classic console instruments from Neve, API, UREI and Fairchild, plus rare, specially selected classic tube microphones and custom drum kits used to record some of the finest artists at Ocean Way Studios over the years.
