The Stupidly Huge Toy Piano And Friends is a collection of two five octave toy piano instruments, two high end multisampled celestes, two normal toy pianos, a set of suspended tines and a prepared piano.

Toy pianos are usually limited to being a great little additional tinkly instrument, but with only a few keys, a simple additional colour at best.

Not for Rattly And Raw…

We were not going to be put off by the annoyingly small key range of real toy pianos. We loved the sound and wanted to expand the tiny range of this childish sound into; well, a huge key-range of childish sound.

So we did…

Two massive 5 octave toy pianos constructed from genuine toy piano recordings, loose tines, impact recordings, celeste recordings and lots of mixing.

NOT reliant on pitch shifted and stretched samples, this unique instrument carries the characteristics of a tiny toy piano across a previously unheard of range.

You get:

3.2GB (uncompressed – 1.6GB compressed) of samples.

1. The Stupidly Huge Toy Piano – a 5 octave toy piano monster with:

3 different mic setups to blend between (Close, Stereo Ribbons and Stereo C-Ducer contact mics).
Isolated Toy Piano attack control.
FX controls.
Two custom IR reverbs.
Separate body resonance control.

2. The Other Stupidly Huge Toy Piano:

2 different mic setups to blend between (Close and Stereo Ribbons).
Two custom IR reverbs.
Prepared Piano layer on a separate control.
Separate body resonance control.

3) Celeste 1 – A multi-sampled 5 octave classic celeste with a ton of character. You are able to almost get inside the celeste with the close mics or get a more classic sound, with the more distant ribbon mics:

Close mics, stereo Royer ribbons and c-ducers all on discrete controls.
an FX section.
The custom reverbs.
a separate body resonance control.

4. Celeste 2 – a modern shiny new 5 octave celeste with:

Close mics and stereo Royer ribbons all on discrete controls.
distortion controls.
The custom reverbs.
a separate body resonance control.

5. Toy piano 1 – One of the original toy pianos used to construct the STUPIDLY huge toy pianos. Comes with a layer of mini toy handbells on a separate control and a separate body resonance control.

6. Toy piano 2 – Another of the original toy pianos used to construct the STUPIDLY huge toy pianos. Comes with a layer of spinning tines on a separate control and a separate body resonance control.

7. Suspended Tines – A stretch tuned set of orphaned tines ranging from the huge to the tiny that contributed to the creation of the main instruments.

8. Prepared Piano – a full untweaked instrument of the prepared piano layer in The Other Stupidly Huge Toy Piano. Basic, but a buzzing clanking gem. Loads of controls on this too.

Works with full versions of the latest Kontakt 4 and Kontakt 5.
