Description: Thorn was created to provide you with a great tool for creating modern electronic music. The main goal was to develop a top-notch software synthesizer that knows everything about the process of creating bright, jumpy and aggressive modern sounds. Simplicity, flexibility and efficiency are the key principles of Thorn. Just take a short tour through the carefully crafted sound library provided by Thorn (over 600 presets!). We hope it contains a lot of sounds that you might want to include in your mix right now.

Sound engine in Thorn :
built on a spectral synthesis method that gives you control over the harmonics involved in the process of shaping the final timbre. Three harmonic generators with an optional harmonic filter cover all needs for creating a very wide range of modern sounds.
Two multi-mode analog modeling filters with zero-latency feedback charge your sound and make it shine in the mix. Analogue envelopes, low-pass filters and multi-stage envelopes can be used to modulate any internal parameters you wish.
A set of 9 high-quality effects will polish your sound and breathe life into it. To make it more fun, DS Audio has implemented a pattern-based glitch sequencer into Thorn. Today, glitch effects have become an integral part of many genres of electronic music, and we hope that you find the Glitch module very useful and inspiring.
