Titan Tube Compressor is a meticulously crafted model of a $7,000 vari-mu hardware compressor. It doesn’t just emulate valve behavior, it delivers authentic valve response, magnetic saturation, and musical dynamics in high resolution.
At the heart of Titan is the nervous system of a $7,000 vari-mu hardware compressor. Extensive research and development led by Berat Pala enabled the complete mapping of the hardware’s electrical characteristics: the voltage response of a tube amplifier, the magnetic saturation curve of the transformer core, the thermally induced harmonic distortion of the valves, and the dynamic decisions the circuit makes at any given moment. These maps were combined within the Luxora Audio Hyper Technology Engine, and the hardware decision-making mechanism, its analog “brain,” was surgically transferred to software.
Magnetic Transformer Architecture
Titan’s next-generation magnetic transformer architecture reproduces the behavior of the hardware’s magnetic core in real time. Weight and depth in the low frequencies, energy and cohesion in the midrange, smoothness and airiness in the highs—all are the natural result of the magnetic saturation model. The architecture calculates in real time when the harmonic texture should be boosted and attenuated, instantly responding to the signal level and its dynamic content. Not as an approximation, but exactly as the physical circuit does.
Three operating modes
Normal, HD, and Hyper don’t simply adjust the sound density. They shift the operating point of the circuit itself. Each mode simulates a different tube voltage range, preserving the harmonic profile, transient character, and dynamic elasticity unique to that range.
Normal: Transparent, colorless compression that preserves the natural tone of the source.
HD: Moderate tube harmonics and density. Character becomes noticeable.
Hyper: The warmest response and the strongest tube effect. Operates at full power.
