Description : DC8C is one of the most flexible compressors around. Although it makes many different compression styles possible, this generic nature can be described as: transparent, smooth, open, different. The primary goal in designing a DC8C was to get a very clean compressor effect without unwanted and often almost inevitable artifacts / distortions. This way, you can achieve almost invisible compression for the most demanding mastering sessions when you want to avoid staining. If you are aiming for color you can choose between two saturation models. Opto-style, peak compression, external lateral adhesion, RMS compression, feedback, Feedforward compression (and everything between) to negative coefficients, with zero delay of the brick of the restriction wall, from instantaneous transient processing to smooth out transitional rounding – everything possibly.
