Welcome to ReForged, the third virtual instrument from Impact Soundworks, focused on unique, hybrid cinematic sounds for film, TV, and game composers. ReForged reveals a world of forgotten metal objects, recorded in a barn in the quiet South Wales countryside and then transformed into something entirely new. ReForged contains a large array of metal objects used as percussion instruments—an old stove, metal shovels, a rake, a bathtub, gasoline cans, and much more. The resulting material is ideal for soundtracks and sound design.
ReForged features an array of found metal objects performed as if they were percussive instruments: an old cooker, metal shovels, rakes, a tin bath, gas canisters, and much more. These unique objects were hammered, struck, tapped, and resonated using a wide variety of both conventional and not-so-conventional techniques.
