I am learning Reaper now because it is cheap and is by far the most efficient daw. But I would probably be happy with cubase, bitwig, or logic if I had a mac. FL studio just has a lot of game breaking problems that only become apparent after you have invested tons of time into it and that is frustrating. Large projects become super CPU intensive just because of how FL poorly handles routing, and there is no way to freeze tracks to compensate for this. The native time base is so course that audio files cannot be aligned manually, which is super frustrating because when you do manually render a track to audio, it never quite lines up in the timeline with the original source, so it becomes permanently out of sync. And the lack of automation features (like touch-trim) means that when you start mixing your tracks in FL you are at an immediate creative disadvantage. I have owned it since version six and I think that is a big part of the problem: because the developers get no money from people who already own the program, they have absolutely no incentive to fix these issues because they aren’t on the radar of new customers. Instead, they devote their energy towards adding AI assistants and other flashy junk meant to generate new business. The whole product feels like a scam. While there are definitely people that use FL Studio professionally, I highly doubt that many of them are actually finishing entire tracks in it. Maybe as a sketchpad it is alright but that is certainly not how it is advertised.

FL Studio est un excellent daw, mais il a raison sur les points de codage. En voulant garder tous les anciens projet compatible avec les nouvelle version, des projets depuis FL 1.7.0.6 pour ma part, sa fait du code a entretenir et a construire autour, au lieu de tous repenser. Un peu comme Windows qui se trimbale toujours une architecture 32bit alors que peu voir personne n’utilise sa. Apple a bien compris, Android aussi, pourquoi pas FL ?
