Description: A library of killer rhythm guitar sounds and piercing solos from the legendary JEFF “SKUNK” BAXTER, one of the greatest rhythm guitarists of all time.
SKUNKWORKS features rhythm guitar grooves and solos from legendary Steely Dan guitarist JEFF “SKUNK” BAXTER. Jeff is the recipient of many industry awards, including twenty six gold and platinum records, two Grammys (plus six more Grammy nominations!), and is widely regarded as one of the greatest rhythm guitarists of all time.
The sounds in this collection, as you would expect, are killer! After all, Jeff has been a design consultant for Roland, Guild, Vox, and Gibson – and has his own signature series acoustic guitars. His playing on this collection is impeccable, including super tight rhythm guitar licks that have never been offered before in any sample collection.
But thatβs not all! There are guitar licks for all musical applications from acoustic to heavy metal, and everything in between. An additional BONUS disc of .WAV files is included with the package. How often have you been able to musically collaborate with one of the greatest guitarists of all times? Well, now you can! For the price of this collection you can have Jeff “Skunk” Baxter play on your next track!!
Wow….. never heard about this, oughta be cool. Jeff was tight with my ex-in-laws. EVERY time he came to their home for a weekend, we were fishing, at the beach, etc. Never got to meet him but he’s had a long career as a forensic expert in audio data analysis. He did a fantastic demo of the Roland “V Synth”…… it emulates quite perfectly just about any stringed instrument. I was just dyin’ to get one but luckily a pal at work told me that the ONLY way you’re going to get a realistic banjo, mandolin, etc. is you must play the desired instrument the way it’s played on the actual instrument. You wouldn’t play a trumpet same way you’d play a sax, etc.
Anyone looking for highly convincing instruments in one VSTi should check out the Korg Triton.
Anyway, thanks amigo!
