Description: When you see “sonor” written in a musical score, the composer is simply asking the musicians to play with as much resonance, body, and tone as they can. This opposite concept of playing is jerky – “sonor” is a thick and warm sound.
We intend to capture the trumpet and horn sections where we maximize tone and body rather than solely focusing on loud dynamics.
You’ll notice a wider, more open sound that takes up more space in the mix in a mezzo forte speaker. We have chosen articulations specifically for creating melodies. Our greatest influence and inspiration has been the organic processes used by the great composers of orchestral music. Recorded at the MGM Scoring Stage at Sony Pictures Studios in Los Angeles, these ensembles also feature greatly enhanced legato.
