Gotta check this out. While I’m just adequate with Western rhythm structure, the Hindi theory and method is a huge challenge to me. It’s almost like time signatures of 13/17 and a scalar system of 23 pitches 🙂 But it all WORKS!!
Anybody interested in tabla masters, YouTube some Zakir Hussain or Alla Rakha. For Western/Hindi fusion, “Shakti” is incredible.
