Mahadhi ya Africa! In Africa, traditional music is not written down, but handed down from generation to generation. You’ll feel that tradition as you dance to the rhythms of Africa with this collection of live percussion loops. Traditional instruments include the agogo, bembe, conga, djembe, ekwe, shekere, kalimba, talking drum, saworo, shaweru and more. Authenticity is the key to this journey that takes you to the heart of Africa. If you want to experience this culture in it’s purest form, Mahadhi puts the rhythms of Africa at your fingertips.

Mahadhi is Swahili for “rhythm”. And with “Mahadhi: African Rhythms”, you can immerse yourself in the rhythms of the African drumming tradition. On this product you’ll find both modern and traditional beats, played by masters of African percussion, with a grit and intensity that can only come from a love of the drum. We’ve provided over 1800 loops in three formats, recorded as a live ensemble, and all expertly looped. Let the inspiration begin with one of over 30 world/ethnic titles that have helped make Big Fish Audio the most established sample library company in the world.

HOW TO USE :
Mahadhi – African Rhythms has been formatted in three of today’s most popular file types:
REX2, WAV, and Apple Loops. With these three you have access to every major sampling/looping device on the market! Every file has been carefully edited to loop perfectly without any complications. Take advantage of the additional info and tagging using Apple Loops with Garage Band, Soundtrack, or even Logic 7. Edit your grooves using the REX2 file flexibility. Of course, the industry standard WAV files can be loaded into multiple sampling and looping devices.

African Rhythms is organized into 27 different folders, each with its own tempo. Inside each folder are subfolders of instruments and a demo mix using selected loops from that folder. Some tempos have more than one folder; this is because each performance was recorded separately and and the files within each folder work well together. However, don’t hesitate to experiment with different loops from other folders. The possibilities are nearly endless.
