MANDOLIN
The mandolin is a small stringed plucked instrument of the lute family, invented in Italy and popular in the 17th and 18th centuries. The sound on the mandolin is usually extracted with a plectrum, the instrument has 4 pairs of metal strings tuned in perfect fifths. This Mandolin is an Irish soprano mandolin with a flat back. The instrument is tuned like a violin: G-D-A-E (Sol – D – La – Mi).
Our main goal was to create a Mandolin instrument that reproduces a natural and organic sound. Our instrument provides two different types of plucked sounds: “Plec” (pick playing) and “Finger” (finger playing), as well as “Vintage” and “Strummed” articulations. All pickup types are equipped with a convincing and organic tremolo function that allows you to easily play the mandolin in tragic tremolo style. In addition, we programmed the Strummed engine, which plays chord patterns depending on the keys pressed. This is best for the accompaniment parts in your song. It’s easy to use – all you have to do is draw your pattern in the sequencer and switch between chord strumming types. But you can also play in ‘manual mode’ by selecting the ‘strummed’ articulation. Finally, we have added some editing functions and effects that allow you to create a full-fledged “live” sound, as well as use various types of reverb. The mandolin is an instrument that will allow you to easily and comfortably play your music and enrich it with a natural and organic sound.
