I wonder if there’s any soukous guitar material out there……. aka Congolese rhumba. The African guitarists play those scorching major chord vamps…… the chord part’s the easy part……. it’s the picking patterns that kill me 🙂 Here in Washington, D.C. too long ago there were some awesome radio shows with Ghanaian bands playing some of the most exhilarating rhythm guitar stuff I can’t find even on YouTube.
