Damn, son, where’d you find this? Those familiar with the “Real Trap” scene already know about UZ’s contributions to the genre—from seminal releases on Mad Decent to appearances on Diplo and Friends, and the founding of his own label, Quality Goods. Once an anonymous producer, UZ has built a career by uncovering fresh sounds for new audiences.
This massive sample pack marks another step in UZ’s ongoing evolution from a superstar DJ to an influential cultural force behind the scenes. You’ll find UZ’s sonic fingerprint throughout: crisp hi-hats, brass hits, sinister synth atmospheres, organic Foley recordings, and much more. Here’s what the man himself has to say:
“I decided to create this sample pack because none of the existing ones truly represented me or my sound. Sure, some try to sound like me, but I’d rather just give you the real ‘Real Trap Shit’ samples. I put this together with Splice because it’s an advanced platform that genuinely helps professional and experienced producers take their music to the next level. I hope producers from all over the world use these sounds to develop new ideas and keep the trap scene alive and well.”
