Description:
Prisma is a 3-in-1 plugin based on the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT). It functions as a pitch shifter—capable of handling even polyphonic audio sources—a formant shifter, and a pitch quantizer (useful for achieving the iconic “color bass” sound).
Prisma breaks the signal down into tiny fragments (bins), maps them to the nearest frequencies within a given scale, and reconstructs the audio signal while striving to preserve the original phase relationships.
Pitch quantization is excellent for imbuing sounds with a specific tonality or re-tuning them to match the key of your track.
Setting the “Color” parameter above 100% introduces additional filters on top of the pitch quantizer—a great feature for creative sound design!
Prisma offers an easy-to-use formant shifter for precise sound control, allowing you to adjust pitch and formants independently.
Tweak the “Voicing” parameter to fine-tune the formant shifting to your preference; it works particularly well with vocals.
