Description:
Discovery Pro is a virtual analog synthesizer modeled after the Nord Lead, designed for use in your DAW. It features four layers, twelve oscillators, and 16 filter types—including Nord Lead Zero Delay Feedback, Moog Ladder, and Oberheim SEM models. Full Nord Lead SysEx import/export capabilities allow for the bidirectional use of existing patches. It loads content from SFZ, WAV, SF2, DWB, Bliss, and Nord Sample libraries into wavetables, while PADSynth resynthesizes any sound into dynamic pads. An arpeggiator, panning modulation, stereo delay, gate, and step modulation round out the toolset.

Overview:
Discovery Pro expands upon the capabilities of Discovery by offering 128 voices processed per CPU core, Nord Lead 2-style unison with nine modeled detune modes, a custom mode for manual voice placement, and an oscillator section that surpasses Nord’s capabilities: JP-8080 Super 7 SuperSaw for trance leads, Deep FM matching the depth of the Nord Lead 2, plus pink noise and a parabolic wave. Analog drift and adaptive filter slope preserve the character of your patches, while up to 16x oversampling ensures pristine reverb quality. It also includes over 5,000 updated presets across 100 banks.

It is designed to be played, not just programmed. MPE and polyphonic aftertouch allow each note to have independent pressure, bend, and slide, while the aftertouch morph function lets any knob respond to pressure intensity; LFOs move across layers using graphic envelopes that you draw rather than dial in. A percussion mode transforms a bank into ten drum kits, the HDR interface on compatible displays is complemented by an oscilloscope and FFT analyzer, and the GUI is scalable with multiple skins. Features also include octave key splitting with preset zones, MIDI learn with XML templates for popular hardware, MTS-ESP microtuning, undo/redo, a standalone application, and much more.
