The editor runs on 64-bit Windows operating systems and supports standard MIDI controllers such as the Steinberg CI, CMC, and CC121 series.
In terms of functionality, WaveLab surpasses many other audio processing programs. It enables rapid audio file conversion via batch processing, backup creation, and playlist generation,
as well as the creation of custom Audio CD and DVD projects. It also offers the unique capability of applying sound effects to an audio file in real-time during playback.

Steinberg introduces an updated audio editing application packed with a host of new features.
Version 13 introduces “Master” and “Album” workflows designed to provide an immersive experience while enabling more precise and streamlined project finalization. The Master workflow simplifies the import and editing of ADM files by applying processing, normalization, and re-rendering while preserving object-based spatial information. The Album workflow facilitates the organization of multiple ADM files into a cohesive master album; it allows users to visualize clips in formats ranging from stereo to 9.1.6 and automatically updates the display to reflect the Dolby Atmos renderer.
Other highlights of the updated software include: Loudness and TruePeak normalization for multiple ADM files; A/B comparison; multi-core processor support (for simultaneous task processing within the Audio Montage); an updated MasterRig 2 plug-in suite featuring new processing modules, side-chain support, and an improved user interface; the modern VocalChain plug-in designed for vocal and speech processing; direct audio signal routing to track plug-ins with side-chain capabilities; color-coding for clips and tracks (for quick project navigation); enhanced VST 3 compatibility; new plug-ins (Pitch Shifter and Underwater); interface scaling; instant plug-in removal; and much more.
Installation:
If you previously installed TEAM R2R Network Block Runtime, uninstall it! To uninstall, run unins000.exe located in C:\Program Files\TEAM R2R\Network Block Runtime.
Note:
If Silk Emulator v1.5.0 and the latest version of TEAM R2R System are already installed, skip steps 1–3.
- Install TEAM R2R System
- Install Setup Steinberg Silk Emulator v1.5.0.exe
- Reboot the OS
Uninstall the previous version (recommended by R2R, but optional) - Install Steinberg Mediabay (This is required for the content browser to work; without Mediabay, the content list may appear empty.)
- Install WaveLab_13.msi
Note:
R2R does not mention installing the R2RCA.cer certificate in the instructions, but it has been included in the release just in case.
